For my first post on this blog, I would like to say thank you to all who read this, and give a greater explanation on the purpose of this blog.
First off, I don't think I need to go into intricate explanation of how life is difficult at times. I'm sure you know this. I'm sure everyone knows this.
Now, if you're reading this blog, then I assume maybe you or someone you know is/was facing obstacles pertaining to eating disorders, self harm, depression, anxiety, etc. Don't worry, I'm not here to judge! I'm here to offer some advice and share some things I've gone through. It always helps to know that you are not alone in a battle.
It is quite sad to see how many people have to struggle with these types of issues. The pain and hindrances it creates on one's life can be unbearable. People can go through years with these pains. Some will reach their limits and choose to end everything, others continue trudging through life and eventually see smoother sailings and get better. The end of your battle with mental illness does not reflect how good or bad of a person you are. Only you know your limits and how you want to live your life.
Just know this: life goes on. And if you decide you want to continue moving towards a better one, don't stop, and keep trying.
